Really streamlined process

It is a wonderful thing to have solar panels on your house becuase your elecricity bill goes way down and you feel a lot better about the fact that you are using less carbon dioxide in the environment. So there are a lot of really great benefits. I looked at a lot of different companies and ended up going with Sun Badger because they really ahd a streamlined process and they didn’t sell me anything else, just the solar panels which is what I wanted.

My panels just went live last month. Production so far is right on track with their estimates. During the first phase... of the process they were super attentive and gave me lots of good info. Somewhere in the middle of the process communication was lagging and I had to push a little, but in the end it was completed 2 weeks past their initial estimate. Not too bad. Overall I'd recommend them. The panels look great.read more

We started our quest to find a solar panel installer for our roof about a year ago. We contacted them about installing... solar panels on our roof. It seemed like many of the companies selling installations were based in California and we wanted to deal with a company based in the midwest because the weather and solar output would be different from that on the west coast. They responded promptly and talked us through the process thoroughly. The other installers didn't seem as diligent about the details of the installation and their prices were higher (at least their first estimates were). We followed through with Sunbadger and have been pleased with every step of the process.read more

I was considering a few different companies and purchase options when a neighbor recommended Sun Badger. I spoke with... Ann several times and she was very responsive and patiently answered all my questions. Once I made the decision to move ahead, everything progressed smoothly and the install was completed on time. The field techs made a last minute adjustment on panel configuration because they thought it would look better on my roof and I am glad they did. Nice people, just very unresponsive. Project taking forever.Its been almost 9 months since I signed with Sunbadger.... At first everything was great, but I just have to keep prodding week after week to get any sort of movement on my account.They might just be stretched too thin, the actual work, when done, looks good. But I've got panels on my house still not functional after months amd months of asking why.I'm a pretty reasonable person, and It seems other have better experiences. Perhaps your project will go better. I'm not sure what made my project go on the ultra slow lane.read more

I researched several companies when exploring whether to go with solar panels. I inquired with this company to get solar for my home. They called and promptly set up a phone call with Noah R. I... accepted the calendar invite and five minutes later I get a notice that the appointment was cancelled with no explanation. I replied to the cancellation notice asking if they needed to reschedule. The response I got was “Isn’t your roof in the direct shadow of the tall building to the south?” I reply that I don’t know because I have not moved in yet. No response. I keep pushing and I get another email saying, “Too shady.”That’s how professional they are. They didn’t even have the decency to explain unless I pushed. If you don’t equal $$$, they don’t care to even talk to you. That says a lot about a company. I would avoid them.read more

I've looked for quotes for a Solar system for my house. Sun Badger was the only one with such a responsive and... accommodating team. I asked to speak to someone and I meat Noah shortly after. The entire process went well. I felt well communicated with on timelines and progress. We researched many solar companies before deciding on Sun Badger Solar. I am a new home owner, and super nervous. I had... questions...so many questions. I had all of my questions and concerns answered in such a fast and professional manner, that I quickly lost my concerns. They even answered questions I didn’t know I had! They just really understand the process and they know what concerns people have.Day one, COVID, so what would have been an in person interview process was held over the phone and online. Everything was there. She had worked up our install, showed us the panel layout on our home and explained all the pricing and incentives. They explained our different product options and had information for each available on the computer. They were super organized and professional...That’s when I knew, I wanted to work with them.Permitting was an issue, as our area doesn’t really have solar and our local jurisdiction didn’t know who was supposed to handle it. We got shuffled between county and village code enforcement. Well, I didn’t, but Sun Badger did. I was kept informed through the entire process and they assured me they were on top of it. They were.Permit to install, install was scheduled and the entire install was completed in 2 days, then the electrical inspection. Our local authorities are notorious for their inspections. They have closed down businesses with their made up rules. This is the part I was most nervous about. The inspector came out, was looking everything over, and made a comment about how they really paid attention to detail and everything was done really well. He even made the comment, “I’m impressed!” And signed off on our install. This is when I was completely reassured I hired the right team!Our utility company was slow to give us the approval to operate, but that is outside of Sun Badgers control.We have had the system on for over a month and just received our first negative utility bill! It’s an amazing feeling!read more

Sun Badger might not have been the least expensive, but they have done the best job with the best materials in my... opinion. Noah Rothschild suggested the atheistically pleasing all black panels vs the traditional models and boy are we extremely pleased! I also see many installations where the mounting brackets are able to be seen easily or overhang from the end of the panel which looks cheap; the crew did such a great job making the panels look great on the roof. Sun Badger also uses microinverters which I do not know why they are not the standard everyone uses. I love using the Enphase app accompanying my panels to see the generation daily. I knew the process would be long and difficult, but Allison handled each phase fantastically. Many companies quoted 6-9 months from contract signed to installation and we were up in running in 4 months! We are more than pleased with how our layout turned out and the only downside is we could not fit more panels!read more
