let’s see how the
solar process works
One: The Sun
Sunlight hits a solar panel on the roof. The panels convert the energy to DC current that flows to an inverter.
two: inversion
The inverter works to convert the DC Energy to AC which can be used in your home.
Three: power up
The converted energy progresses into your electrical system to power everything connected to it.
Fourth-ish: the battery
If you choose to install a solar battery bank with your solar energy system, you can store excess power for use long after the sun goes down, and even during a utility power outage.
five: givin’ back
Excess electricity that isn’t used or stored will be sent back out to the grid and most utility companies will credit you for the electricity you produce.

benefits of
solar energy
Reduce Your Energy Bill & Lock-In Your Energy Rate
Installing solar on your property allows you to meet most, if not all, of your electricity needs. With solar, you’ll not only be saving money each month, but you can also generate extra income through the surplus electricity that your system generates.
Say goodbye to those ever-increasing utility rates, too. By installing solar, you’ll lock in your energy rates for years to come. Be sure to look into solar battery bank options if you want to make the most of solar energy for your home and get protection from power outages.
State of the Art Solar Technology
We only install the highest-quality solar panels on all of our projects. The technology that we use has been tested to ensure longevity and reliability. From our inverters to the sleek solar panels we install, everything about your new solar energy system has been tested and confirmed to be the best products on the market.
Environmental Benefits
Sure, solar can save you money on your electricity bills. But it’s also known for the positive environmental benefits. Solar is a completely clean energy source. Fossil fuels and nuclear energy are damaging to the environment and create harmful air pollutants.
The initial solar investment might seem steep, but the environmental and financial benefits far outweigh the initial costs.
Solar, on the other hand, helps:
Reduce air pollution caused by energy generation.
Reduce water use for energy generation.
Reduce your dependence on nonrenewable energy.
Fights climate change caused by air pollution.
Low Maintenance Cost
Photovoltaic Solar systems (the panels that we install) require minimal maintenance. You won’t need to clean your panels because rain does the job for you. Solar energy systems have no moving parts, so you won’t have to worry about wear and tear either. After paying for the initial installation, you can expect to spend little to no money on maintenance. At Sun Badger® we only use panels that have at least a 25-year performance warranty. If anything goes wrong with your panels before your warranty is up, we’ll be ready to address it.
Cost-Benefit Analysis
Do you feel like solar might be outside of your budget? If so, look into the cost-benefit analysis that solar offers before making a decision. Many homeowners are able to easily afford solar with the help of solar tax credits. These tax credits won’t last for much longer so be sure to get started installing your solar ASAP. You can learn more about the solar tax credits here, or reach out to speak with one of our solar energy consultants.
Other benefits include energy savings and the ability to pay off your solar panels within 5 to 10 years of purchasing them. After your panels are paid off, you’ll be able to produce electricity at no cost. Additionally, you’ll have added a significant amount of value to your home or property.

Is Your Home Right for Solar?
Solar can work on almost any property given these few requirements are met. First, you need to own the home or have permission from the property owner to install solar. Next, your roof needs to be solid, structurally sound, and no more than 5 to 10 years old. Asphalt shingle roofing typically needs to be replaced every 15 to 25 years. In some cases, it’s best to install a new roof before installing solar. You’ll want your roof to face the right direction in order to receive an optimal amount of sunlight. Finally, it’s important to have little to no shading on your roof.
Residential solar is right for you and your home if you’re ready to start saving money and protect the environment, and if your home meets the recommended requirements.
