is solar for
is solar for you & your home?
Here are some questions you can ask yourself to see if solar is right for your home
Do you own your own home?
Do you have a south, east or west facing roof with limited obstructions?
Do you have limited trees or shading?
If you answered yes to the questions above, solar may be for you.
How the solar process works
First, sunlight hits a solar panel on the roof. The panels convert the energy to DC current, which flows to an inverter.
The inverter converts the DC Energy to AC which can be used in your home.
This converted energy progresses into your electrical system to power everything connected to it.
Excess electricity is sent back out to the grid, and the utility credits you for the electricity you produce!
Benefits of Solar Energy
Reduce Your Energy Bill & Lock in your energy rate
Installing solar means you will be meeting some to all of your electricity needs by producing your own energy. Not only will you save each month, but the surplus energy will be exported back to the grid and credited to your account. You are also locking in your energy rates for years to come, while the utility increases rates each year.
Low Maintenance Cost
Photovoltaic Solar systems generally require little to no maintenance. No cleaning is required as the midwest gets enough precipitation that nature does the job. As there are no moving parts, there is no wear and tear. After you pay the initial installation cost, you can expect to spend little to no money on maintenance. Sun Badger Solar only uses panel manufacturers that offer at least a 25 year performance warranty.
The most important thing about solar is a truly renewable energy source. Solar is available as long as we have the sun, that’s a 5 billion year proposition!
